  • Create a video (no longer than 30 seconds) to promote the message of Think Before Plastic

 

Entry Specifications

  • The video can be in any genre, for example fiction, animation, commercials etc. There is no restriction in language. 
  • Each video work should indicate the name(s) of participants and the school name at the end of the video, using the format of a white background and black text (maximum for 3 seconds). Note: These 3 seconds will NOT be counted in the 30-second time limit.
  • Video resolution must be at least 1920 x 1080px.

 

Submission Method

  • Participants should upload their videos onto any cloud storage platform (e.g. Google Drive, Dropbox, Sendspace etc.), and submit a download link via school.  (Note: Youtube is not included)
  • Participating schools should collect the download links of the completed works, and submit along with the school registration form to HML on or before 11 March 2019 (Mon) in one batch via email: drawing@hkcec.com.

Rules

  • Each participant / team shall submit one entry only and the submission must be sent to HML via schools.
  • Each participant can only join the competition once, either individually, or in group (as one of the group members). If one is found to have repeated enrolment, his/her enrolment (individual / in group) may be disqualified, without notification from HML.
  • Participants should obtain consent from the person(s) being filmed / interviewed in prior to the filming. In case of any related disputes, participants will be solely responsible.
  • Participants acknowledge and guarantee the submitted video is an original work created solely by the participants, and it does not infringe on copyrights, trademarks, or intellectual property rights of any person or entity. If the video work is found to involve plagiarism, the entry will be disqualified.
  • All video footage must be filmed during the competition period. The video must not have been published or used in any means.
  • To avoid infringe of copyrights, please do not insert any video clips or images available online in the work submitted. Participants will be responsible for all the issues related to violation of copyrights, and may be disqualified. 
  • Participants must ensure the music and sound effect used in their entries obtained relevant authorisation by other parties.  
  • HML is not responsible for video works that infringe on copyrights of any person or entity. Participants will bear all legal and other responsibilities, and compensate for all the subsequent loss suffered by HML.
  • Video work must not include any illegal, offensive language, indecent, sexism, violence, defamation, discrimination, or other inappropriate content. Entries violating the rules may be disqualified without notification from HML. 
  • All entries will not be returned. HML has the copyright of all entries and the right to exhibit, promote, or publicise them through any media, without obtaining the prior consent of participants.
  • Personal data collected will only be used for contact purpose of the competition, and will not be used for direct marketing or other unrelated purposes.
  • Decision by the panel of judges is final.
